Hello there. I am Phillip Belongia and I am currently a fourth grade teacher at Nash Elementary. This is my first year at Nash and actually my first year in a public school as a teacher. I spent the previous three years at St. Luke School in Brookfield, Wisconsin teaching fifth grade. It was a great experience but I am glad to be here in Kenosha.
I attended Marquette University where I received my undergrad degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication. I worked in radio and television for a few years before I finally realized what I had known for quite some time. I realized that I wanted to be a teacher. I then went to Cardinal Stritch University where I earned my teacher certification and am almost finished with my master's.
Outside of the classroom I am very busy. I work for the Milwaukee Brewers as the audio producer. It is the greatest part-time job I have ever had. I am also very musical and am currently in a band. Playing softball, football, and basketball with my friends also takes up a lot of time as well. Somehow I also find time to hang out with my family and those people that mean the most to me.
